Winter Afternoon Art Walk

“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” -Henri Matisse

The North Carolina Museum of Art is located in Raleigh, NC and features contemplative outdoor spaces as well as art galleries. After layering in winter jackets in teen-degree weather, we took an afternoon walk through “Art in the Park,” which commissions artists to create works that adapt art to the environment, not environment to the art. Featured work includes “The Conversationalist,” a piece created from rubber tire and wood, and “The Turning Point,” made by the NC State School of Design. Sharing the stroll with close friends made the weather less cold and the walk even more enjoyable.
